St. Louis

I recently went on a road trip with my parents to Missouri for the first time and I thought I'd share some pictures from the first part of our trip to St. Louis!

It was our first time being in St. Louis so obviously we had to be tourist-y and go to the Gateway Arch

My dad trying to get a picture of the entire Arch. On the ground. lol

Near St. Louis, on the border of Missouri and Illinois, there's a historic site called the Cahokia Mounds, a pre-Columbian Native American city.

The accompanying museum was really interesting and informative, and the view from the top of the mounds was incredible. It was definitely a trek going up those stairs but well worth the burning thighs.

The next day, we decided to go on another small adventure to Elephant Rocks State Park, home of the 1.5 billion year old Precambrian granite in the Saint Francois Mountains. (look how tiny people look next to the boulders!)

Last but certainly not least, the Anheuser-Busch Brewery was our final stop in our three-day St. Louis excursion. The brewery hosts complimentary tours around the facility, which was a lot of fun but we could have dealt without the 100 degree heat and humidity outside... Although the free samples of Budweiser beer was a nice treat :)

Friendly people, fine weather, great views, and crisp beer. Needless to say, St. Louis was a fantastic city. Kansas City blog post will be up next!

xoxo,
Barshen
